100th Referral milestone: Buttle UK & Explore Learning

We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in our partnership with Buttle UK's Chances for Children Grants: the 100th referral to our Big Dream Programme! This accomplishment marks a momentous occasion in our ongoing efforts to close the achievement gap for vulnerable children.

Buttle UK: A lifeline for children in need

Since its establishment in 1953, Buttle UK has been dedicated to helping children and young people in serious need across the UK. Through its Chances for Children Grants, Buttle UK provides critical support to improve the social and emotional well-being of children and their capacity to engage in education. Last year alone, Buttle UK provided over £4.8 million in grants, reaching children through a vast network of charities, social services, and health centres.

Families who receive membership to Explore Learning through the Buttle UK Chances for Children Grants bear no cost as we both subsidise 50% of the tuition.

Explore Learning makes education accessible

Explore Learning is proud to partner with Buttle UK in our Dream Big Programme. Our vision is to make education accessible to all children, regardless of their circumstances. 24% of our centres are located in 20% of the UK’s most deprived areas.

We offer both online and in-centre tuition, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Our partnership with Buttle UK has allowed us to support children who have faced significant challenges including fleeing domestic abuse, providing them with the tools they need to succeed. "He really likes to come, each and every week. He was not used to enjoying learning. The reason he was behind was because he was being bullied a lot. Since bringing him to Explore, he is much happier and enjoying learning, which is amazing. It has made a big difference and he is now doing more work in class. Before, when he didn’t know the answer, he was angry. I don’t see this anymore.”
